Once you buy an Xbox, your kids will notice how much fun you’re having playing it and want to join in. Since the Xbox is aimed at an older audience, the games tend to be violent and mature in themes. Don’t despair – Xbox does have some kid-friendly games.
- Mini Ninjas. Probably for kids that are 10 and up since it takes a little puzzle solving. Mini Ninjas is a cute and fun story that requires no reading skills. Everything is voice acted and the characters add a cute comical element to the seemingly serious story line. A great buy if you like kids games too, because it is entertaining to both kids and adults.
- Any Lego title – Lego Star Wars, Lego Pirates of the Carribean and so on are all made for a younger crowd. They come in so many movie themes – you are bound to find several that your kid is into.
- Plants versus Zombies. Even though the craze for this game is down, it is a fantastic game if you have a 10 and up kid. Despite zombies being a main theme, it has only comic violence without blood or gore involved. Also, great if you want to play it too. It has several long two-player modes.
- The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. Spyro is a classic game and the newest addition to the series still provides entertainment for all ages. Plus, kids love to see the little purple dragon hero flying around and frying things. Again, nothing but comic violence here.
